Wouldn’t it be great to locate a riflescope that can be used on a variety of weapons, from a shotgun to a pistol, even a high-powered bolt-action hunting rifle? Better yet, how about one that sells for a nice price?
You used to have to either shell out a pile of money for good optics or settle for something inferior that isn’t worth the time it takes to mount. Some nice scopes have been hitting the market recently that won’t break your bank account. And the Bushnell Trophy TRS-25 is a pretty decent one.
Bushnell History
In 1948, 3 years after the last part of the most destructive war in the record, David P. Bushnell came back from his honeymoon in Japan with a pair of binoculars. He places his last name on the binoculars and sold them via mail order. And thus, Bushnell was in business.
In the following years, he appointed manufacturers it Taiwan, Japan, and Hong Kong to make binoculars he designed and patented. Like Henry Ford and Milton Hershey before him, Bushnell figured out a way to make a good product affordable. And for the first time, the average American could get a precision binocular.
After a time, Bushnell expanded into making rifle and spotting scopes, and he made low-cost optics available to gun enthusiasts.
What to Look For
A good scope is an investment. Whether you’re a competitive target shooter, a hunter or even just a plinker, it pays to make sure that you get what you need. Your paycheck, your dinner or your much-needed relaxation during your time off may depend on it.
You will absolutely want something that is strong and that will work on your AR, your AK, your 12 gauge or your GLOCK. The riflescope needs to be able to handle repeated, hefty recoils and remain true.

What is Bushnell Trophy TRS-25?
At slightly under 2.5″ and approximately 3.9 ounces, the TRS-25 is a relatively small and light red dot scope. The point, which comes from an LED mounted inside the pipe, is 3 MOA and has 11 strength adjustments for different lighting conditions.
The clarity is excellent for the price of this sight, with the glass providing a sharp image that is on par with more expensive red dot scopes. The windage and elevation tunings need a screwdriver or a coin to rotate and each click on the disks is equal to 0.5 MOA. It uses a CR2032 battery and comes with convenient lens caps. And it can be submerged down to 10 feet.
With its comparatively low profile, various shooters may prefer to use a riser for an easy cheek weld on the stock.
Accuracy
The accuracy can make using the sight seem as if you’re using a cheat code in a video game. Hitting the object at about 100 yards is straightforward and much easier for many shooters with this red dot riflescope than with iron sights.
Clarity
The finish on the lens provides excellent light and clarity and reduces any glare from the sun. And the 3 MOA dot is crisp and well defined.
The red mark has 11 power settings, from 0 to 11, a brilliant setting. You can shoot in low light and bright sunlight. Most people will never use the brightest setting, which is a bit too intense, but that doesn’t detract from the scope.
Durability
The Bushnell Trophy TRS-25 Red Dot Sight Riflescope is water-resistant, and it won’t fog up in moist situations. It can withstand the recoil of running several thousand rounds through an AK and still remain true.
The gaskets below the knobs are wide and strongly fitted, and the knobs themselves consider solid. And the coating doesn’t flake off at all, so the scope is rustproof.
The battery will last a year, as long as you get one that’s high quality. If you don’t use cheap batteries, the scope will work when you need it.

As long as you receive a quality unit, the Bushnell Trophy TRS-25 is a very good sight for the beginner. This is a high-quality red dot scope for guidance and target shooting since it’s durable, can take a beating, is rainproof and won’t fog up. And it’s flexible and can be used on ARs, AKs, pistols and even shotguns.
